Hi Guys, my name is Dave Norona and I have been a professional athlete since 1990 from Triathlon, Duathlon, XC Skiing, Surf Ski Racing, Mountain Bike, Running etc I have raced over 500 hundred events around the planet. I retired from full time racing in 2006 and bought a dirt bike and sled and continued to work with sponsors, travel and ride until 2010 when I join the Ski-Doo Factory Backcountry Team. I then re entered the bike industry with Devinci e-mtb in 2018 and have been spending my summers riding, e-foiling and now power boating through the summer months and winters are spent on Ski-Doo sleds sledding. Above all I like to have fun and help people choose the right gear! Thanks for joining in!

What are those pedals they look lovely ✌🏾
One Up Components, the best pedals on the market
You’d think paying these insane prices for full suspension DH bikes, etc they would engineer in proper rear fender mounts, or at least give us an option to have them included. I get that each manufacturer mounts their front fenders differently, and some don’t even make ones at all for specific forks. I’m surprised you didn’t opt for the actual Fox fenders, I want those nice forks eventually but they’re so damn expensive. Trying to find fenders for a bicycle that doesn’t have rack mounts is such a pita, especially if it has a lower end fork lol. I’ve been trying to find one for the bicycle I’m getting and it’s a chore. They’re either too short, ugly, or angled wayyyyy too much up from the rear tire.
These are way better than any fox fender. Bikes are expensive, you can find cheaper versions also, Happy Riding!
Do you find the Blacked Out version gets hot during the summer days?
nope, I have a grey one now and same.
Thank you SO much for doing these videos and sharing so much! Im looking forward to getting a pro in the near future
Thanks! Ya I love these boats, just spend 3 months using it as our tender in desolation sound, they are so good!!
If that bike had a D!3k you’d be able n your knees, relax
Jeez dude, I just watched your vid on the 22 E Troy, you’re lying about one of these bikes Beat pedals for e-bikes Just curious, what bike do you ride uphill without pedaling?
No idea what your talking about, try again...
@@DaveNorona that’s why your videos are shitty
What brand fenders are you using?

Can’t wait for snow days
Just got a e-troy and would like to find out what brand fenders you put on your etroy

👏👏👏
Love the Strykers! Question: why did you choose not to get an aluminum boat? Either an all-welded boat, or a riveted aluminum boat.
These are lighter and we tow ours for 3 months in desolation sound, and dont need an aluminum boat, these are light simple and work awesome, that is why i own one!
Nice vid! I just got a 420 myself with a 20hp Tohatsu. What kind of battery/setup are you using?
no battery, i have a pull start, the one thing i would do differently is get a power start...
From one Dave from Squamish to another your videos certainly have helped a ton! Just purchased my own 420 pro today. Can't wait to take it out this weekend. I'm running a 30hp propped motor but like yourself have interests in rivers. How has the propped with a river runner help up in the shallow rivers? Cheers,
Honestly I dont use it in rivers but the prop guard works awesome when we go close to shore to drop off etc. I would always run this on the boat, the jet is sweet but less power and it drifts too much for being efficient on the ocean, happy boating
👍👍👍
What are you asking for this boat? Thanks, Alex
23,000 with trailer dave@davenorona.com its and awesome boat, just went bigger
You really ARE a master dude...!
Every question I have had about Stryker boats, Jared has already made videos with the answers to all the questions I had. I mean I'm not even a customer yet and the customer service has already been outstanding. You could certainly pay less with other brands but for the quality I find that Stryker still has the best value for the price was also eyeballing the 420...I just haven't decided on lx, hd, or pro yet. I'll probably get a 20hp- 40hp merc depending whether I get the lx or the pro
Do you think a 4’2 will work with it? I realize they say 4’9 but I have 4’2 and this would be awesome.
nope they dont make one for the 4'2
What about the sub channels or privacy tones? I have all the regular channels programed but unless you have the specific privacy tones loaded with the actually numbers and not the frequency you will either hear all the other people on the same channel or you cant talk to your buddies that are on their own sub channel.
We load all the channels you need, we don't load privacy channels as they are not private and they interfere, if you are on 4-20 and someone is on 4 it is true you wont here them but they interfere as in why it will miss the talking etc.. no need to be on those channels
Awesome video! Is this blacked out color version or storm grey ?
I had a 23 black and this is a 24 grey, both are awesome
The back one is too short, you only have to look at the angle. Your going to get mud up your back 😮
unless your fender goes to the ground you will get mud on your backside, but this prevents most and keeps it out of the bearings...works as intended
is 15HP under powered for this boat?
nope but it depends what you want to do with the boat and how loaded you want to have it, it is a big boat so you will put lots of stuff in it and the 20 works awesome
I have the Stryker 380 Pro Hunter. It has survived the Sunshine Coast in Desolation Sound, a grizzly bear attack, a moose stepping on it and me 🤣.
Nice, ya these are sick boats!!
Hi. I’m about to pull the trigger on the bike. Unfortunately there is no where to test ride. I’m looking at the Troy since I live in Minnesota but go to Colorado once in a while. 2 questions 1. Is the Gx build worth $300 more than the deore build. $3699 compared to $3399. And second, I’m concerned about the reach. I’m a little over 6 ft tall and 210 pounds. The reach is longer than anything else I’ve ridden. Do you find the reach an issue? I prefer to be a bit more upright. Thanks for any help.
you can change the reach by a 35 mm or 42mm or 50 mm stem, but i find the small fits me perfectly, and both the deore and gx are good builds but 300 is not much for a few things better...
Thanks, that helped! ❤😂
cheers
Makes perfect sense ...you have those potential customers who don't want to buy a gas "toy" but will consider an EV "toy". If the range was equal to gas and the recharge was 15 mins to 90%... I'd buy one ..or two. Until then I'm waiting for the two 2025 850 Etec BC XRS 154"x2" machines we ordered to arrive at our dealer this fall. 😊 First new sleds ever, cant wait.
Nice, you will love those sled, have a great summer!!!
@@DaveNorona thanks Dave, all the best to you. Looking forward to more of your very informative vids.
How much raft motor and trailer ?
strykerboats.com as it depends on what model, size and motor and trailer you choose. cheers dave
Cool bike!! Where did you get the marsh guard from? I would like to purchase one for my bike.
any bike shop will have that style of fender, cheers dave
I want one !
Wheres the stryker content dave ? !
Been boating for 3 months....
Is that bag completely mounted correctly? It sure looks loose on the front
For time sake I only had one bolt in on each side, when both are installed it does not lift and is super snug with perfect fit, for time as I say I just showed where the bolts go, sorry for the amateur install, cheers dave PS Good Eye :)
Can you get us a deal for local Squamish riders?
Corsa Cycles is the local devinci dealer and its best to talk to the manager and tell him I sent you. Discounts may very on bikes they have on hand, current market and what you are looking for. cheers dave
more Pizza!!!!
YES!!!
P r o m o s m 🤘
thumbs up!!
Great videos, I just subscribed. How does the boat handle in rough chop? Will the aluminum floor do damage to the bottom of the boat if going too fast in rough chop? Trying to get an idea of how tough these boats are
I have taken mine out in 2-3 chop, it will handle it but I go with my family so I am not after crazy chop. it will do it and wont harm anything, but we have it as our tender on our cabin cruiser and also going out in Howe Sound to have fun, but any small boat is not going to be good in massive seas.
Great video, thanks!
Glad you liked it!
Pedal assist is for girls! Come on now!!😂
almost like a seadoo flush system
Exactly like that, makes it super easy so you do it, which is the biggest help in getting it done. Cheers
If you had coolant in the engine it would be good
So capping the thru hull is important that it doesn't draw air in, and make sure that check valve doesn't get plugged up or stuck closed.
@@lewisbolman7862 its properly designed so as not to do this.
Dave, I sold my Gen4 SP 165 and looking for another sled for sled skiing. 2 complaints about SP was getting tossed offline in tracked terrain and lack of agility. Is Summit X the call here? I didn’t love T motion, but think I want to keep flex edge
I’m 6’ 185 lbs
Well the best would have been to ride both over that last few seasons, ride and expert and a summit x, it is almost impossible to tell the difference in a sled with just t-motion, and just flex edge, people say they notice but sorry we ride them back to back to back and it really comes down to what you get use to or adapt to. If you think you want flex edge but not t-motion then a summit x and add the t-motion xt from the expert but a bigger difference is in the skis, if you put salazzking ski rubbers in it makes the biggest difference, and going g5 is night and day over a G4,
Great options with the LinQ gear.
It sure is!
Nuts ❤
super cool what they did and these are super fun!
How much all the packages with the motor cost?
www.strykerboats.com
I've got the UV5R model and I'm wondering if I can take it skiing. Not planning any backcountry skiing, just want to use it for fun with my buddies. My main concern is keeping it dry. Heard it's not waterproof, but it can handle a few splashes. I’m thinking of grabbing a silicon case for it too. What are your thoughts on this setup? Doubt it'll get wet often, maybe just a few times if I fall. Also it's good down to -20 Celsius.
yes it will work fine!

Thanks for the video looking great. How are you finding the 20 on the back? Im ordering a 420 pro now and mulling the choice of going the size up 25/30... decisions decisions haha
The 20 is perfect for us and what we do, but 20-30 would all be great!!! You will love the boat!!
Congrats! Nice boat! I have a 1994 classic, one little downside is the lack of room between the v- berth in the front and the roof ,when ,at night yuo have to do the " pee" ,you have to swing yur stinkin' feet above yu'r wife's head to get out ,praying you won' hit her😂
The front on this 2002 has lots of space plus were both 5'6 so lots of room!!! Happy Boating!!
